The Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic (PBVDC) evaluates children who complain of dizziness or imbalance. People often think these symptoms in children aren’t serious, but more and more research suggests that balance and dizziness in children are caused by real, treatable medical problems.

Our team specializes in diagnosis and treatment of children ages 2 and up who are suffering from dizziness or imbalance. Our goal is to get kids back to being kids.

About the Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic

The Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic team includes specialists from ENT (otolaryngology)neurologyaudiology and physical therapy. We work together to figure out what’s causing your child’s symptoms. Then we develop a personalized treatment plan that can include age-appropriate medications, lifestyle changes or physical therapy.

Before we recommend your child to the PBVDC, they will first have a vestibular evaluation on a separate day prior to the clinic. After they undergo this evaluation, your child's doctor may recommend they visit the PBVDC, or they may recommend other options.

Why choose us for the treatment of balance and vestibular disorders?

The Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic is the only center in the Rocky Mountain region with a multidisciplinary approach to treating pediatric dizziness and balance issues. This allows your child to see multiple specialists for a quick, accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment planning.

Our team specializes in pediatric care. Treating kids is all we do. We provide a comfortable atmosphere for your child and tailor visits and tests to their unique needs. We’re also experts at using kid-friendly techniques to make testing more comfortable for even our youngest patients.

As a top pediatric medical center, we actively contribute to the research of pediatric vestibular disorders. Our current work includes studying the effects of certain diseases on the balance system and the genetic factors that contribute to dizziness.
