In this retrospective cohort study involving pediatric (aged <18 years) patients who had either contrast-enhanced (contrast group) or unenhanced (noncontrast group) computed tomography (CT), researchers determined the rates of postcontrast acute kidney injury (AKI), dialysis therapy, and death after administration of intravenous contrast material.
