The Hand and Upper Extremity Program at Children's Colorado specializes in caring for children from birth through adolescence. Pediatric orthopedic hand surgeons are specially trained to offer care for differences and injuries involving the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow and shoulder. These specialists provide individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical options. Occupational hand therapists are also on-site and involved as needed from the onset of your child's care.
Our pediatric specialists evaluate, diagnose and treat children nearly every day. They are specially trained in pediatrics and sensitive to the differences and needs of the growing child. Pediatric orthopedics is very different from adult orthopedics and we at Children's Colorado feel strongly that our orthopedic providers, Dr. Frank Scott, Dr. Sarah Sibbel, and Cailin Brazeau, PA-C, are experts in their field. Both surgeons completed specialized fellowships in hand surgery, and are dedicated to the care of children.
The Orthopedic Institute has nearly everything you need in one location, and the pediatric staff at the Hand and Upper Extremity Program works to create a seamless, convenient experience for every patient and family.
From x-ray, casting and splinting, to therapy, your child gets all the care they need - in one location. Additionally, if surgery is recommended, we will talk with you during your appointment to begin the process of scheduling your child's surgery.
