Choosing the right clinic for your child

Child Health Clinic

The Child Health Clinic is a full-service pediatric practice for children living in the Denver metropolitan area. We provide a community-based practice model at a leading academic institution. We see all children from birth to 18 years.

Adolescent Medicine Clinic

We recognize that teens are a special category unto themselves, and they deserve special attention. It takes a special approach within our Adolescent Medicine Clinic to provide healthcare, considering all aspects of teen health – physical, emotional, mental and sexual – to provide the best care possible. We also have a specialized clinic for taking care of young mothers and their children.

General Pediatric Consultation Clinic

Children with common sleep problems and toilet training concerns (constipation/encopresis and enuresis) are seen in this clinic, each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All patients are referred by community pediatricians. New patient evaluations are scheduled for 60 minutes to reach initial diagnoses and recommendations. Treatment plans typically combine medical interventions, behavioral management and pediatric counseling.

Special Care Clinic

The Special Care Clinic is a comprehensive and integrated primary care program for children with complex needs, including high-risk newborns and children with complex medical conditions, as well as siblings of patients with special needs. This integration of services includes:

  • Integrated nutrition and respiratory therapy services
  • On-site care coordinators to help cut red tape and access community services
  • Dedicated scheduler to assist in making multiple specialty appointments
  • Social work and psychiatry partnerships
  • Inpatient consultants from our practice if your child is admitted to the hospital
  • A partnership with community care providers, offering consultations for management strategies for your child

International Adoption Clinic

The International Adoption Clinic is a consultation service for children in the Rocky Mountain region who have been adopted from abroad. We offer outpatient evaluations for children from newborns to 18 years of age. Our focus is on identifying infectious, growth, developmental, and psychological issues specific to international adoptees.

Breastfeeding Management Clinic

The Breastfeeding Management Clinic supports any mother and baby having challenges (e.g., low milk, sore nipples) with breastfeeding, from feeding newborns to weaning older children. We see self-referrals as well as referrals from community physicians, birth centers and other lactation programs. Please download our referral form for more information (.docx).
