Children's Hospital Colorado offers a psychology internship training program in Child Clinical and Pediatric Psychology. This full-time, 12-month internship is accredited by the American Psychological Association. The program is also a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).
Interns will receive a salary as well as holiday, vacation, sick, and professional leave. Employee health and dental benefits are also available. Proof of malpractice coverage must be provided by the intern’s training institution or by the intern.

Application information
Applications will be accepted from doctoral candidates who expect to have completed all doctoral degree requirements by the fellowship start date, including completion of internship and successful dissertation defense. Applicants must have completed their training in an APA or CPA accredited PhD or PsyD program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology, and an APA accredited internship. Candidates are expected to have sufficient training and experience in Child Clinical and Pediatric Psychology to be able to maximally benefit from the experiences offered.
We are now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 training year in the APPA Online Applicant Portal. The program is committed to the recruitment of culturally and ethnically diverse post-doctoral fellows. Bilingual speaking applicants, and all other qualified applicants, are encouraged to apply. A cover letter stating interest in the specific post-doctoral position(s) of choice, previous clinical, research and professional experience relevant to the post-doctoral program, and expectations of personal and/or professional goals that may result from engaging in the specific post-doctoral positions identified.
In your cover letter please include a brief summary of how COVID-19 impacted your training and how you were able to continue your training outside of clinical hours.
If you are applying for more than one postdoctoral fellowship with Children's Colorado, only complete one application. You may upload separate cover letters for each of the positions to which you are applying. All developmental pediatric applications must include a de-identified work sample.

Externship
Children's Hospital Colorado offers psychology externship placements: Child Clinical Psychology - Therapy & Assessment, Neuropsychology, Healthy Expectations, Developmental Pediatric Psychology and Rehab Psychology. Please note that the Rehab Psychology placement is only open to those who have completed a year at our Child Clinical Assessment and Treatment externship. Be enrolled in at least the 3rd year of an APA accredited Doctoral Program in Clinical, Counseling, Health or School Psychology
Have completed coursework in cognitive assessment and personality assessment
Have experience with child and/or adolescent assessment and treatment
Have proof of malpractice coverage: must be provided by the extern’s training institution or by the extern prior to the start date
This part-time, unpaid, 10-20 hour a week commitment focuses on the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families.
