About the Pancreatic Surgery Program
Focusing on the surgical aspect of pancreatic care, your child’s care team includes experts from many specialties, including gastrointestinal surgery, pediatric surgery, surgical oncology, gastroenterology and hepatology, oncology and radiology. This range of expertise allows us to treat a variety of conditions that require pancreatic surgery. By bringing together many specialists, we can customize a comprehensive plan for your child’s short- and long-term care.
Why choose us for pediatric pancreatic surgery
The Pancreatic Surgery Program offers a multidisciplinary approach to all types of pancreatic diseases. Experts from each specialty work together as a team to discuss your child’s unique situation. This approach helps us make an accurate diagnosis quickly and plan the best treatment.
Your child’s care team has a reputation for excellence. The Gastrointestinal Surgery Department at Children’s Colorado has been ranked No. 3 in the country by U.S. News & World Report. In addition, our program partners with Dr. Marco Del Chairo, an internationally renowned adult pancreatic specialist from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
