The programs we offer at the Telehealth Department at Children’s Colorado are expanding rapidly. We continually have new clinical offerings and locations where we provide services. Below is a highlight of the clinical services that are currently available via telehealth:
Adolescent health follow-up appointments with doctors and clinical social workers are available in this special care clinic using telehealth technology.
Allergy and Immunology Center
We offer clinic consultations and evaluations via telehealth for patients who are new to our clinic and for established patients. We also offer telehealth appointments with a dietitian for established patients.
Barbara Davis Center
In this special care clinic, we offer new and follow-up appointments for type 1 diabetes care.
Children's Immunodeficiency Program (CHIP)
Children with compromised immune systems can have follow-up appointments at this special care clinic using telehealth technology.
We provide Colorado Fetal Care Center appointments as well as follow-up appointments for children with complex cardiology issues using telehealth technology.
Colorado Fetal Care Center
We offer Maternal Fetal Medicine and Fetal Cardiology Program appointments with local partner sites using telehealth technology.
Our Developmental Pediatrics program offers evaluations and follow-up care using telehealth for a variety of developmental, behavioral and learning differences at this special care clinic.
Our telehealth program offers follow-up appointments for children with Down syndrome at this multidisciplinary clinic.
Children with endocrinology conditions can be seen in this special care clinic for new and follow-up appointments.
You can use our telehealth technology for follow-up appointments with doctors and exercise physiologists at this special care clinic.
Telehealth follow-up appointments for gastrointestinal conditions with a doctor, clinical social worker, psychologist and clinical nutritionist are available at this special care clinic.
Genetics and inherited metabolic diseases
This special care clinic offers new and follow-up telehealth appointments with a doctor and genetics counselor for children with inherited metabolic diseases.
Lifestyle Medicine Program
Weight management and obesity appointments with a doctor and clinical nutritionist using telehealth technology are available at this multidisciplinary clinic.
Telehealth neurology and neuropsychology appointments are available at this special care clinic with local partner sites using telehealth technology.
Orthopedic appointments, including virtual Spine Surgery Class, are available at this special care clinic through our telehealth services.
Our healthcare providers are available to provide psychiatric evaluation services to other Emergency Department and Urgent Care facilities using telehealth technology.
New and follow-up appointments with a doctor, nurse practitioner and psychologist for pulmonary conditions – including cystic fibrosis – are available using telehealth.
New and follow-up rehabilitation appointments are available in this special care clinic through our telehealth program.
Rehabilitation Psychology Program
Telehealth appointments for rehabilitation psychology program services, including care for concussions, are available at this special care clinic.
You can use our telehealth technology for new and follow-up rheumatology appointments.
Special Care Clinic
Our special care clinic provides follow-up care for patients with complex medical needs using telehealth technology. The clinic is hosted at a primary care physician’s location.
We provide speech therapy, occupational therapy and learning services to the home at our special care clinic using telehealth technology.
Our telehealth program offers new and follow-up appointments at our special care clinic for patients with urology conditions.
Other telehealth programs and services
Before discharge from our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and cardiac progressive care unit (CPCU), a Children’s Colorado provider can hand off care to a local primary care provider and primary care cardiologist in the patient’s home community.
MyChart Bedside is an app on our hospital iPads that gives patients and families access to the same information that healthcare providers and nurses use to care for the patient. MyChart Bedside also offers telehealth options for a healthcare provider to speak to patients and families when the provider is not in the room.

NICU Baby Chat
Baby Chat is a program that uses secure, high-quality cameras and iPads to keep babies in the NICU connected with their families throughout their stay.
Our expert pediatric neonatologists provide consults to partner hospitals for their neonate patients.
Video chats between patients and friends and family
While patients are admitted to Children’s Colorado, they can use our iPads to communicate with friends and family members outside of the hospital. The iPads allow patients to use FaceTime, Google Duo or Skype to see and speak with people who are unable to visit them in the hospital.
