My care philosophy

I am a person-centered therapist who emphasizes empowerment through autonomy. I approach the therapeutic process with my patient in the driver's seat, caregivers in tow, while I supply the road map with avenues for approaching difficult problems in ways that are compatible with how the patient processes and aligns with, occasionally re-routing them based on barriers we encounter or pathways that we outgrow through experience and time.

My interests lie in the intermittent programming development and group integration.

For Referring Providers:
I am very interested in the intersectionality of exposure to domestic violence and the use of emergency services or specialty outpatient health services to manage conscious and unconscious somatic symptoms of this exposure. There is extensive literature around the efficacy of healthcare-centric interventions such as screening and direct referral ports for survivors and their families with over 20 years of consistent proof, however these practices are limited to the states which participated in Futures Without Violence's first initiative dating back to 2000. I'd like to capitalize on evidence gathered over the course of almost 25 years and build onto it, Colorado-specific policy measures and addendums that offer feasible and money-saving methods for this public health crisis.
