For Patients:
My research interests are primarily focused on investigating kidney injury in children after heart surgery. I am currently investigating use of kidney injury biomarkers to predict drug clearance after heart surgery. The specific drug I am currently studying is milrinone, which has been shown to improve heart function after heart surgery, but may accumulate when kidney injury is present
For Referring Providers:
My research interests are primarily focused on investigating acute kidney injury in children after cardiac surgery with a focus on pharmacokinetics, and using kidney injury biomarkers to predict drug clearance. Specifically, I am evaluating if AKI biomarkers can predict impaired milrinone clearance after cardiac surgery.
