My care philosophy
My goal is to work with our outstanding team to provide the very best care for children needing a bone marrow transplant, including new, cutting edge research treatments when appropriate. I believe that children are treated along with their family and caregivers, and that the entire medical team must support that goal.

For Patients:
My research interests are focused on the development of new therapies (clinical trials) for children needing a bone marrow transplant. Our group offers a large variety of research opportunities for our patients, but I am particularly interested in new ways to treat relapsed leukemia and using cell therapies for treatment and prevention of complications.
For Referring Providers:
My research career began with basic science investigations into the role of the TAM family of receptor tyrosine kinases in malignancy and inflammation. More recently I have been focused on the development of clinical research trials for bone marrow transplant patients, with particular interests in novel approaches for the patient with leukemia and the development of cellular therapeutics for a multitude of uses.
