Meet David Kumpe, MD

I strive to provide the best care for my patients. I believe in ensuring that the patient and his/her family understand completely the disease condition to be treated both before and during treatment, as well as in follow up.

Get to know his background

My many clinical interests include essentially all forms of vascular disease in the brain and spinal cord. These include aneurysms, blood vessel malformations, stroke, dural sinus thrombosis; atheromatous disease of the neck arteries; dissections of the neck arteries; pseudotumor cerebri.

My research interests are primarily focused on investigating new and complex, multidisciplinary treatments of vascular diseases in the brain and spinal cord, including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and fistulae, spontaneous dissections and atheromatous disease of the extracranial and intracranial arterial circulation, dural sinus thrombosis. This also includes stent treatment for idiopathic intracranial hypertension (pseudotumor cerebri).
