Meet Kyle Nagle, MD

I strive to provide the best and most up to date care for young athletes. I love interacting with them and working with them to keep them in their sports and returning them to the pursuit of their dreams. I find it easy to relate to them in health and injury as a lifelong athlete, in soccer and swimming growing up, ultimate Frisbee at the national collegiate level, and endurance sports in more recent years.

"A lot of my job is about quality of life. Part of what I do is minimizing suffering...but we're still focused on, 'What is your dream?'"

- Dr. Kyle Nagle

For Patients:
My research interests have focused on athlete development and the promotion of physical activity in children and adolescents, specifically on the effect of early specialization in sports on young athletes. I have also been involved on projects investigating bone health in cyclists and the functional capabilities of disabled athletes in Nordic skiing, particularly as they relate to the issue of accuracy and parity of classifying athletes into competitive classes for competition. Other research interests of mine include the role of biomechanics related to injuries and their prevention and treatment, and issues in pediatric wilderness medicine.
