For Patients:
I put special emphasis on the long-term follow up of patients born with anorectal malformations. This allows to provide evidence-based information to the parents of children born with these defects, as related to the future functional prognosis and quality of life.
For Referring Providers:
My research interest has been mainly clinical. During my career I collected information related to over 2500 surgical repairs of anorectal malformations. That information is now part of the largest database ever collected on anorectal malformations. The analysis of the information collected in the database represents the source of over 200 publications.
