Normal life looks a lot different these days, especially in healthcare. But there is one thing that hasn’t changed at Children’s Colorado: Your child’s health and safety are our highest priority. Kids need great pediatric care as much now as ever, and it’s for that reason that we’re reactivating services we temporarily suspended due to the pandemic. We are here to deliver safe, thoughtful, high-quality care for kids who need it. Learn what to expect – and all the ways we’re keeping patients safe.
If you're concerned that you or your child may have been exposed to COVID-19, please do NOT visit an emergency or urgent care location. Instead, call your doctor or our free ParentSmart Healthline at 720-777-0123 for guidance.
In life-threatening emergencies, find the emergency room location nearest you. For non-life-threatening medical needs when your pediatrician is unavailable, visit one of our urgent care locations.
At Children's Hospital Colorado, our people have made us one of the nation's most respected and successful pediatric hospitals. Our exceptional team members deserve benefits that meet their professional and personal needs.
What employee benefits does Children's Colorado offer?
We used team member feedback to develop our comprehensive Pay and Benefits package. The following are just some of the benefits we offer:
Medical, dental and vision insurance
We offer two UnitedHealthcare plans and a Kaiser Permanente HMO plan with differing premiums and deductibles to meet the unique needs of our team members and their qualified dependents. We also offer a choice of two dental plans through Delta Dental as well as vision coverage.
We provide short-term and long-term disability insurance through Unum to all benefits-eligible team members at no cost. This insurance is designed to help you meet your financial needs if you become unable to work due to a nonoccupational illness or injury.
Paid time off
You will accrue paid time off (PTO) to use for vacations, personal business, holidays, parent/teacher conferences and sick pay. Accrual rate for full-time status includes 22 days* per year for your first year and up to 34 days* per year after 15 years of employment.
* Includes six company holidays.
403(b) retirement savings plan
To help you plan for your financial security in retirement, we offer a 403(b) tax-deferred savings plan. The hospital also provides dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of your compensation that you contribute to the plan.
Flexible spending account
Our Flexible Benefit Plan allows you to set aside money for the purpose of paying certain expenses with pretax dollars. Funds for this purpose are designated during open enrollment and deducted directly from paychecks. Funds may be used for out-of-pocket healthcare expenses or dependent day care expenses.
We reimburse up to 100% of tuition, fees and books for courses at an accredited college or university. The courses must be directly related to your job or to one you could reasonably obtain at Children's Colorado.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Our Employee Assistance Program provides assessment, referral, focused therapy and coaching for you and your family in dealing with abuse, anxiety, child/elder care, depression, addictions, financial problems, legal needs, marital/relationship issues, stress and other life issues.
We're proud of all the lifestyle advantages of our Colorado location. You may be eligible for relocation assistance to help you get here.
Hospital Employee Referral Bonus (HERB)
We believe that our current team members are often our best source for attracting and hiring new team members. That's why we introduced HERB to provide a cash award to team members who refer their friends to Children's Colorado.
Children's Colorado wants you to be able to get the absolute most out of life. We're pleased to be able to offer our team members a variety of wellness programs including biometric screenings, health assessments and yoga.
Team member gyms
Children's Colorado offers team members 24/7 access to our team member gym on the Anschutz Medical Campus. Team members who work at Memorial Hospital Central and Printers Park have access to gyms at Memorial Hospital Central.
At some locations, we offer a wide range of concierge services, including car washes, oil changes, watch repairs, dry cleaning pickup/drop off, as well as hotel, airline and rental car reservations.
Creating a family-friendly workplace
Many of our benefits support work-life balance of our team members, many of whom have young children. These family-friendly benefits include:

This program supports team members who are breastfeeding and have returned to work. We offer lactation facilities and lactation support consultants.
Parental leave benefits
Our policies support new parents in the challenge of balancing work and family. We provide eligible team members with up to 80 hours of paid parental leave as they welcome a newborn or newly adopted child.
Modified duty for expectant mothers
We follow the requirements of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and make reasonable accommodations for team members who request them when pregnant or recovering from childbirth.
We provide a wide variety of additional benefits, including:
Child care discounts
Supplemental life insurance
Dependent life insurance
Long- and short-term disability
Long-term care insurance
You may elect benefit coverage for yourself and your eligible dependents. In general, your eligible dependents include your spouse and your dependent children.
Dependent children are eligible until the end of the month in which they turn 26 years old. Your unmarried children who are mentally or physically disabled and who rely on you for support and maintenance are eligible beyond the limiting age.
Active team members can add same-sex domestic partners and their eligible dependents to their medical, dental and vision coverage only once a year during an open enrollment period. If you wish to enroll a same-sex domestic partner, you and your domestic partner must complete an Affidavit of Same-Sex Domestic Partnership.
