Charting Pediatrics is a weekly podcast for pediatric healthcare providers. In this series, multidisciplinary specialists from Children’s Hospital Colorado examine the latest treatments and innovations for the delivery of pediatric medicine. Listen and subscribe on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Meet our hosts

David Brumbaugh, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer at Children's Colorado and practices as a pediatric gastroenterologist and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Brumbaugh's philosophy is to engage families and their pediatricians in establishing goals of care, keeping the child at the heart of every decision.

Alison Brent, MD, is the Medical Director of Children's Colorado's System of Care and Physician Relations and is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Brent is passionate about process and system improvement that provides optimal care to patients, families, and providers. She has a focus on digital health and serves on the AAP Executive Committee on Telemedicine.

Dan Nicklas, MD, is an academic general pediatrician and educator, practicing at Children's Colorado with a focus on primary care and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Call Center as well as the Director of Primary Education for the Pediatric Residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Nicklas is actively involved in graduate and undergraduate medical education and research.
