Meet our hosts

David Brumbaugh, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer at Children's Colorado and practices as a pediatric gastroenterologist. He is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Brumbaugh's philosophy is to engage families and their pediatricians in establishing goals of care, keeping the child at the heart of every decision.

Alison Brent, MD, is a pediatric emergency physician and professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She serves as the Medical Director of Physician Relations at Children's Colorado. Dr. Brent is passionate about hospital system improvements that lead to accessible, optimal care for patients, families and community providers. She has a focus on digital health and serves on the AAP Executive Committee on Telemedicine.

Dan Nicklas, MD, is an general academic pediatrician and educator practicing at Children's Colorado with a focus on primary care, and he is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Call Center, as well as the Clinical Medical Director for the Child Health Clinic. Dr. Nicklas is actively involved in graduate and undergraduate medical education and research.
