U.S. News & World Report honor roll badge

As any parent knows, injuries, fevers and the flu don't take evenings and weekends off. At Children's Hospital Colorado, our pediatric urgent care providers treat illnesses and injuries that require medical attention but are not life threatening. Here, your child will be seen by a pediatric healthcare provider who can diagnose and treat them quicker than a typical urgent care facility. This helps your kid get home and feel better, faster.

If you believe your child needs immediate attention and you have concerns for a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Let us know you’re on your way

Check wait times and pre-register for an urgent care visit at our locations in Wheat Ridge and Southeast Aurora. By letting us know you’re on your way, you can save time in the registration process and in our waiting room.

Please note that our urgent care locations do not accept appointments. Your wait time depends on how busy we are and how sick or injured the patient is. We see patients in the order of who needs care most urgently, even if they arrived after you.

Why choose Children's Colorado for pediatric urgent care

Children are not small adults. They are incredibly different and deserve incredibly different care. Our urgent care doctors and nurses have specialized pediatric training and are uniquely qualified to care for kids — especially in urgent situations.

Here are some benefits of choosing a pediatric urgent care for your child:

  • Pediatric doctors and healthcare providers can help kids and their parents or caregivers feel at ease during their urgent care visit.
  • Our care team is familiar with common and not-so-common conditions in kids, as well as the unique ways that children respond to medical tests, prescription drugs and treatments.
  • Our pediatric urgent care locations have specialized equipment designed to fit children and teens, such as child-sized needles and blood pressure cuffs.
  • Our urgent care providers work alongside your child's primary healthcare provider and communicate about your child’s care, so they will have the best outcome possible.
