The Children’s Colorado South Campus cafeteria is called the Fresh Market Cafe. It is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., only a few choices are out while we switch from breakfast to lunch.

The Coffee and Gelato Bar is located near the cafeteria. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids will enjoy a variety of gelato flavors like butter pecan and birthday cake, while parents can sip custom coffee drinks and take in the panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains.
Vending machines are available for your convenience in the Urgent Care area, located on the 1st floor.
A welcome desk is located in the main lobby on the 1st floor and can be reached by calling 720-478-0025. The hours of service are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lactation rooms are available for breastfeeding moms. Ask the welcome desk for more information on lactation rooms.
Contact patient representatives with any questions, concerns or unmet needs related to your experience at Children’s Colorado. They are available at 720-777-6887 on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located on the 4th floor for parents’ use. Amenities include a washer/dryer, full kitchen, TV and lounge area and shower and restrooms. Call 720-478-0269 with questions.
This refuge is the perfect place to put your feet up, take a deep breath and catch up on some TV, laundry or sleep. Complimentary snacks and beverages are ready and waiting for you as soon as you enter the door.
Room service is offered to inpatients from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To place your order, call extension 8-6232 and your food will be delivered within 45 minutes.
If your child’s doctor has prescribed a modiﬁed diet, or if food allergies are a concern, the room service operator will assist you in selecting appropriate food items. Guest trays can be purchased for $8/per tray. Cash, credit cards and hospital cafeteria gift cards are accepted.
Surgery/procedure preparation tours are offered to help you and your child prepare for the day of the operation.
Pre-surgery tours are led by our Therapeutic Recreation/Child Life Specialists who are trained to talk with your child in a non-threatening and age-appropriate manner. Our specialists are sensitive to your child’s needs and make every effort to make the hospital environment feel normal to your child.
The pre-surgery tour takes about one hour. On your tour, you will see an operating room, learn your way around the hospital and have a chance to talk about what happens on the day of surgery.
When to tour? Younger kids have a shorter memory and older kids do better with more time to prepare. These age guidelines can help you schedule your tour:
