The Patricia Crown Family T(w)een Zone is a safe, therapeutic healing environment with the mission to meet the needs of our older patients and their families who face injury or illness in our hospital. Under the leadership and expertise of Child Life, the T(w)een Zone is a special space to provide a place of belonging to tweens and teens, allowing them to be themselves and foster peer relationships.
The T(w)een Zone is a space just for tweens and teens (kids 10 years and older) within the hospital. Patients and their siblings can enjoy this state-of-the-art, 3,000-square-foot lounge that offers a variety of activities.
Located on the second floor of the hospital, the exclusive zone gives tweens, teenagers and young adults a place to relax and be themselves. Amenities in the T(w)een Zone include:
The T(w)een Zone staff invite you to stop by and hang out!
T(w)een Zone hours:
During visitor restriction season, Dec. 1 to April 30, the Child Life T(w)een Zone will be providing services to patients, siblings and visitors 10 years and older, not on isolation, from noon to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The T(w)een Zone was fully renovated in 2014 thanks to a generous donation from Teammates for Kids.
