Diversity at Children's Hospital Colorado
Providing the best care for our patients and their families is a team effort. The healing process here involves contributions from exceptional people throughout the organization. Our people represent the full range of healthcare disciplines as well as important support roles. They also bring to our patients unique insights that come from their widely varying backgrounds.
At Children's Hospital Colorado, our commitment to diversity is much more than just philosophical. We actively recruit and retain a richly diverse workforce through strong relationships with diversity nursing schools and an excellent internship program. Affinity groups help people connect while offering consistent support and encouragement. We also host regular diversity celebrations as well as provide Spanish language classes and culture and clinical care sessions for our employees. And we reach out to the community by working with minority-owned suppliers and through such initiatives as MC2, Career Days and minority clinical scholarships.
