Late in 2021, the FDA approved the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 after a historic clinical trial demonstrated it was safe and effective –– a milestone many parents were anxiously awaiting. Children’s Hospital Colorado had the privilege to advance the use of the COVID-19 vaccine by becoming the largest supersite for Pfizer’s clinical trial.
