How to get a second opinion from Children’s Colorado
- First, schedule an initial informational phone call with the appropriate department. This call will take 15 to 30 minutes and is free of charge.
- Before the call, our team may request certain information to help them.
- During the call, a friendly team member will collect basic information about your child. We’ll ask a series of questions to help us choose which program(s) and provider(s) we recommend for your in-person visit.
- If you decide to proceed with an in-person appointment, we’ll help coordinate the details for getting medical records and discuss insurance or self-pay options ahead of your visit. We’ll also help you schedule an in-person appointment at a convenient time.
- If your child needs procedures or tests, we’ll help you coordinate the details before your in-person visit.
- We’ll also help you navigate logistics including lodging options, transportation, parking and local restaurants.
- At your visit, we’ll provide a comprehensive review of your child’s care and symptoms, and you’ll have the chance to ask the doctor any questions. Our team will provide their expert opinion for your child’s care options and give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.
