Children’s Colorado Once Again Earns CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Recognition

Children’s Hospital Colorado has been recognized by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) as a 2020 Digital Health Most Wired organization, qualifying for the Performance Excellence Award.

Award recognizes healthcare applications of technology

The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively healthcare organizations apply core and advanced technologies into their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities. The surveys assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry-leading. Children’s Colorado earned a prestigious certified level 9 for overall performance, with level 10 being the highest certification level.

We have been able to expand care delivery and engage our patients and families outside the walls of Children’s Colorado, directly in their homes. Our IT professionals are at the foundation of how we provide care. From our electronic health record, telemedicine, laboratory, radiology, and many of our advanced procedural capabilities, information technology is at the core.

More than 30,000 organizations were represented from 14 different countries in the 2020 Digital Health Most Wired program. Children’s Colorado was recognized for this achievement in Becker’s Health IT.
