Children's Hospital Colorado

The Corporate and Community Relations Program at Children's Hospital Colorado

Partnering with the community and local businesses

Children’s Hospital Colorado has a long history of advocating to improve the health and safety of kids. This work goes beyond our hospital walls and into the broader community, which is why partnerships with local businesses are so important to working toward our mission as a nonprofit pediatric hospital.

Free educational opportunities for your employees

Sometimes busy working parents need a quick tip, a new idea, and maybe a little support. That’s where the pediatric experts at Children’s Colorado can help. We hold free corporate parenting workshops at companies throughout Colorado on a wide range of pediatric topics. Topics include healthy cooking, no regrets parenting, stress management, mental health, sports medicine and much more.

Team building opportunities for your employees

Our Corporate Volunteer Program gives community businesses and their employees the opportunity to work together and volunteer at Children’s Colorado. In addition to helping patients and families, your staff will witness the generosity and hope alive in our hospital.

Each activity listed below is unforgettable, whether it is helping a patient choose gifts for their family, or cheering on thousands of motorcyclists as they deliver presents and cheer to our patients.

Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation Events

Our foundation has numerous opportunities to volunteer at events throughout the year. If you’d like to learn about these opportunities, we will connect you with a Foundation representative.

Form a team

Choose a cause from one of the many Children’s Hospital Colorado sponsored events. Your company can form a team to participate in the event, or raise money for our hospital. Events include the Courage Classic, Heart Walk, March for Babies, Donor Dash, and more.

Boo at the Zoo

Each year the Denver Zoo hosts Boo at the Zoo with trick-or-treat stations, animal demonstrations and family-friendly entertainment. We need volunteers to help hand out candy to trick-or-treaters at The Denver Zoo.

Harley Toy Ride

As part of this annual event, motorcycle riders deliver gifts to Children’s Colorado. We need volunteers to welcome the riders and assist with toy sorting.

Snow Pile

During this holiday event, patients select gifts for their loved ones. We need volunteers to staff toy tables and help the families shop for the perfect gift.

Customized craft party

Various companies host craft parties in the main atrium of Children’s Colorado, where patients and families can create their own craft. As the host, the company provides supplies. Parties typically last one to two hours and require as many as 12 volunteers.

Blanket Making Party

Organizations can host a blanket making party and encourage employees to connect while making blankets for patients at Children’s Colorado. The fleece blankets deeply appreciated by patients undergoing chemotherapy. This is a great way to give back while also creating an atmosphere for team bonding.

Organize a blood drive

Blood donation does not cost money and requires little time. It does, however, make a big difference. Help us maintain a steady supply of the wide range of blood products that kids need. Encourage your employees to organize a blood drive challenge and unite to make a difference.
