Most of the research on injury risks associated with marijuana use has been conducted in the context of motor vehicle crashes. Researchers agree that multiple drug use and drug-alcohol combinations among drivers increases the risk for motor vehicle crashes injuries that require hospitalization.
There is little research on marijuana’s association with other childhood injury risk areas.
