The Sie Center at Children’s Hospital Colorado is one of the leading Down syndrome clinics in the United States. Our world-renowned team of experts provides medical, educational and therapeutic care that helps children and adolescents with Down syndrome thrive.

Our team of Down syndrome specialists includes experts in pediatrics, neurodevelopment, psychology, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and education, so your child will get the best care based on their needs. We also work with premier pediatric sub-specialists across the country to help each unique child. We support families with help from social workers, educational specialists, nurses and health navigators.

The Sie Center helps improve patient outcomes through groundbreaking clinical Down syndrome research. Through close partnerships with The Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome and the Global Down Syndrome Foundation , we bring the latest advancements directly to the families we care for. This collaboration furthers our mission to provide the best clinical care to children with Down syndrome and ensures that we remain a trusted resource for the Down syndrome community worldwide.

Who we treat at the Sie Center

Our services include evaluation, consultation and therapy for infants, children and teens with Down syndrome. We offer transition services for adults ages 18 to 22 years to help them start care at the Adult Down Syndrome Center at Denver Health. We are unable to see patients older than 22 in the Sie Center. We offer prenatal (before birth) consultation and coordinate care with other specialty clinics in our network of care.

Conditions we treat

We evaluate and treat developmental and behavioral concerns as well as medical conditions associated with Down syndrome. We have expertise in helping with ADHD, autism, communication, social and mental health concerns, motor development, feeding, breathing and sleep disorders.

Before your first appointment, we’ll ask you to complete an intake form and then we’ll contact you to review your child’s and family’s needs. This allows us to customize your visit and provide the best evaluation.

To help make your visit to Children’s Colorado as easy as possible, we can schedule multiple appointments with other providers you need to see on the same day or over a few days.
