In pediatric surgery, clinical judgment is limited by a lack of high-quality data on which to base clinical decisions for the treatment of common pediatric surgical pathology as well as trauma. My motivation to pursue a career in clinical research is to obtain the skills necessary to address the gaps in knowledge that limit our ability to care for patients.
