Children’s Colorado is home to the only level one pediatric trauma center in the region, providing the highest level of complex care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. At the Sports Medicine Center at Children’s Colorado, a dedicated team of doctors, athletic trainers, physical therapists, dietitians and other specialists come together to help young athletes get back in the game sooner, safer and better after injuries.

Zach’s story
During his sophomore year, Zach dislocated his shoulder and tore his labrum — injuries he feared would end his football career. Thankfully, the Sports Medicine Center care team developed a collaborative treatment approach that helped him get back his strength and range of motion, so he could eventually make the team at Colorado Mesa University.
