If you or your child need care for a gynecological condition, you want not only the best care, but a safe and compassionate environment. The Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Children’s Hospital Colorado provides care for patients from infancy to adulthood.

Our gynecology specialists deliver quality, compassionate care based on the most modern medical knowledge. We provide a welcoming environment for all our patients from those just born to those who have been seeing us for years. Whether you or your child needs routine gynecological care or treatment for a more serious condition, our board-certified gynecologists can help.

A comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to gynecology

Our gynecologists provide treatment for conditions ranging from common to complex. We use a thoughtful approach sensitive to the psychological and emotional needs of our patients and their families. We know our patients may be experiencing a stressful time in their lives, which is why we welcome everyone with sensitivity and empathy.

We host a range of pediatric and adolescent gynecology clinics that address issues like heavy menstrual bleeding, painful periods and surgical management of ovarian cysts and masses.  We also treat more complex conditions including heavy menstrual bleeding due to a blood disorder and differences of sex development, including anomalies of the female reproductive tract. Our Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Clinic is led by a top expert in the field and is one of only a handful in the U.S. Our clinic for kids with Turner syndrome is also considered one of the top programs for Turner syndrome in the nation.

Through your or your child’s medical journey, we always make reproductive health an important consideration, which is why we started the Fertility Preservation and Reproductive Late Effects Program. As the only center in the Rocky Mountain region that treats medically complex gynecological conditions, we take our responsibility seriously and are grateful for the opportunity to provide you the best care possible.

Why choose us for gynecological care?

Each of our gynecologists is pediatric-trained, so we’re experts in caring for kids and teenagers. But because a lot of conditions we treat continue into adulthood, our expertise spans the entire lifetime of our patients. We provide the highest quality treatment for babies and children with congenital conditions, for teens experiencing problem periods or heavy menstruation and even for young adults with painful periods suggestive of endometriosis, as well as ovarian cysts and masses. No matter what stage of life, we are with you every step of the way.

While we focus on gynecological conditions, we also collaborate with other specialists at Children’s Colorado to provide comprehensive care, sometimes in a combined clinic setting. Working with medical specialists from departments such as pediatric surgery, urology, hematology, oncology, endocrinology and adolescent medicine, we can address every aspect of you or your child’s health.

We work closely with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, the only academic center in the Rocky Mountain region that treats the full spectrum of gynecological conditions from infancy through teens and young adults. Supported by these extensive resources, we not only provide great care but the most advanced treatments available. Our work is driven by relationships, knowledge and compassionate care, and when it comes to your health, you should accept nothing but the best.
