Going to the gynecologist can be uncomfortable for anyone, let alone when you’re young. That’s why we focus on providing a welcoming environment for every patient. Whether your child needs routine gynecological care or treatment for a more serious condition, the pediatric gynecologists at Children’s Hospital Colorado can help.
About our pediatric and adolescent gynecologists
Our pediatric gynecologists care for girls of all ages and treat conditions ranging from common to complex. We use a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach that is sensitive to the psychological and emotional needs of our patients and their families. We know that adolescence can already be a stressful time in a young woman’s life, which is why we welcome every patient with a level of sensitivity and empathy that makes them feel safe and comfortable.
We also host a range of pediatric gynecology clinics that address common issues like heavy menstrual bleeding and painful periods, as well as rarer conditions such as differences of sex development. Our Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Clinic is led by a top expert in the field and is one of only a few that exist in the country. Our clinic for kids with Turner syndrome is considered the top program for Turner syndrome in the nation.
Whether your child needs routine or specialized care, we always put our patients and their reproductive health above all else. As the only center in the Rocky Mountain region that treats medically complex gynecological conditions, we take our responsibility to provide the best care seriously and are grateful for the opportunity to treat patients.
Why choose us for pediatric gynecological care?
Children and adolescents have unique conditions and needs. That’s why every provider at Children’s Colorado specializes in caring for kids. Our pediatric and adolescent gynecologists are familiar with gynecologic conditions that appear in childhood, from congenital anomalies to abnormal menstruation and beyond. And if a patient needs additional treatment, we coordinate care with other specialists at Children’s Colorado, from departments such as pediatric surgery, urology, hematology, oncology, endocrinology and adolescent medicine, to address your child’s health holistically.
Supported by these extensive resources, we provide comprehensive treatment for your daughter from childhood through adolescence. We even continue to treat our patients once they reach adulthood, knowing that the relationship and trust we have built over the span of care will be hard to find anywhere else.
Experts in treating complex gynecologic conditions
In addition to providing care across a young woman’s entire reproductive lifespan, we focus on fertility preservation as well. From diagnosis through treatment, we always keep our patients’ hopes of someday having children in mind. By doing our best to preserve a patient’s fertility, we know we’re caring for them not only in the present, but in the future as well.
With locations throughout Colorado and the ability to see our patients into adulthood, we offer the convenient, long-term care that children with complex gynecologic conditions need.
