Children's Hospital Colorado

School Nurse Resources

At Children’s Hospital Colorado, we know that kids learn best when they’re healthy. As a private, nonprofit pediatric hospital, our mission is to improve the health of children through the provision of high-quality, coordinated programs of patient care, research, education and advocacy.

In service to this mission, our School Health Nursing Program bridges the gap between healthcare and education by providing services and resources to more than 350 schools and childcare centers throughout the state and region. This work touches the lives of more than 82,000 kids and ensures that children of all ages and abilities can thrive — both inside and outside the classroom.

Free resources and best practices for school nurses

As a part of our commitment to supporting school nurses, our school health team has compiled a collection of resources, videos and best practices, which are free to download and reference to help care for children in schools and childcare settings. All these resources are in .pdf format unless otherwise noted.

Search and download the resources below. For more healthcare plans, support and training for school nurses, visit the Colorado Department of Education and Healthy Child Care Colorado.
